You want a therapist who shares your faith.
You have an issue that involves your faith.
Maybe you were hurt in a church situation, and it would help to speak with a Christian about it.
You would be more comfortable talking with a therapist who shares your Christian point of view.
Should you speak with your pastor?
While pastors can be skilled counselors, they are not educated in mental health.
Pastors are educated in Biblical counseling, while therapists have extensive education and training in mental health concerns.
You want to see a therapist who integrates faith and mental health.
You don’t want to be “preached” to.
A Christian therapist sees clients from all walks of life and does not push religion on anyone.
I have over 20 years of experience applying Christian principles to mental health concerns.
I will meet you where you are in your Christian walk and come alongside you.
How I help.
My approach is “person-centered,” meaning that I base my approach on your needs. “One size does not fit all” when it comes to therapy. Together, we will look at your goals and focus on what you need to work on. I help you look at what needs to change in your daily life, and also look at the roots of what got you to this place today.
When applicable, I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Psychodynamic Therapy. These are approaches we can talk about, in terms of what fits your need at this time.
You have come to the right place!
You can feel better! Together, we will address what is troubling you and make a plan to change things. You can find more joy in your daily life and your Christian walk, as well as more peace in your relationships.
